The best stand nomination for GE was received during the ONS show 2016. The Norwegian city of Stavanger plays host to the titans of the offshore oil industry over the 4 days of the show. Receiving over 91,000 visitors in its last installment in 2014, this year’s show was expected to be even bigger.
After four successful projects at the 2014 exhibition, Envisage this year returned with clients GE Oil & Gas using unveiling a brand new stand design to resonate with the show’s chosen theme of transition.
As a hugely well-known name in the industry, GE wanted to tell the story of the brand by incorporating three areas of digital and advanced manufacturing, interactive value chain and digital product display and connecting with the customer.
In response to the brief, Envisage developed a concept that focused around using digital media platforms to communicate the brand’s story to visitors. Multiple plasma and touch screens made up the concentrated demonstration area in the heart of the stand, with the popular Oculus Rift and robotic installation acting as flagship features.
Utilising the space upon the stand, partition walls separated areas without interfering with the visitor journey. Like any good story chapters flowed into one another seamlessly from live technology demonstrations to hospitality, creating a fully immersive brand experience.
Large format prints to the outside of the stand acted to visually break through the noise of surrounding booths, so delegates could easily identify the stand from the bustling aisles.
Receiving positive feedback from delegates and exhibitors alike throughout the show, the stand’s success was officially recognised when it was nominated in the final 10 of the ONS Best Stand Award at the show.
Reported as the second busiest ONS on record, the show also recorded a total of 1,241 exhibitors from 40 different countries with an attendance of 65,718 visitors.
