We have a working relationship with Kevin Glancy and Jonathan Fawcett lasting over 10 years. This includes working on their exhibits at the Monaco Yacht Show. and other prestigious events. Their ethos is best summed up in their brand ethos ‘Uncompromising Passion’. Envisage were invited to design and fit-out a new showroom to meet these expectations.
Kevin Glancy and Jonathan Fawcett source exquisite porcelain, crystal, silver and linen from the world’s finest artisan craftsmen and designers. They offer a bespoke service to their clients furnishing luxury yachts, private residences and aircraft. Their portfolio includes some the world’s finest luxury brands. These include Hermes, Guzzini, Odiot, Robert Welch and Lalique as well as providing a totally personalised design service.
Their existing showroom had evolved over a number of years, so there was an inconsistent look and feel between the individual rooms. There was room for improvement in both the layout and the lighting. The challenge was to remodel their existing space, to create a state of the art showroom to reflect the unrivalled quality of their products and impress their very discerning clients. We were briefed to design the new showrooms, fabricate all new displays and finally fit out the whole environment.
The first stage of the project was to conduct a survey of the existing space, their products and analyse the visitor journey. Our interior designers then worked closely with the team at Kevin Glancy and Jonathan Fawcett to produce a detailed brief. Once this had been agreed, we set to work on an extensive set of visuals, mood boards and samples.
We set out to create a better journey so that one room flowed into another and a series of focal points would entice the visitor between spaces. A consistent look was achieved using a rich palette of creams, dark woods and brasswork. Of paramount importance was the lighting to reveal the exquisite detailing of the products on display. This was achieved through a combination of ceiling downlights and LED lighting mounted in the individual display cabinets.
Our in-house fabrication team of cabinet makers were trusted to deliver the quality synonymous with the brands on display.
The new layout has meant that there is a much improved visitor journey, which has reportedly meant that clients have spent longer in the showroom. Consequently they have seen a greater range of products, which is facilitating cross-selling between the ranges that Kevin Glancy and Jonathan Fawcett offer. The quality of the design and materials used in the interior space has raised the perception of their brand. The project reflects the growing number of permanent fit-outs that Envisage have been involved with.
