A bit about the project
Cebit is the world’s largest trade fair showcasing digital IT, telecommunications and mobile technology. The stand was built as pre-launch of Toshiba mobile phone technology into the European business market. It was crucial that the stand reflected the quality of Toshiba products and also announced the technology to the world-stage where there would be important customers and a great deal of media coverage within the industry. Fitch were responsible for the design concept and with their wealth of exhibition knowledge and experience. Envisage were asked to translate this concept into reality for the Toshiba exhibition stand. Our CAD designers worked closely with the Fitch team to refine and develop their drawings before prototyping and manufacturing the stand.
The stand sported a number of unusual features such as curved fabric walls which gave it a soft and welcoming look. The outer structure used sail making techniques with stretched fabric printed in a specific Pantone grey. These walls were punctured with vacuum-formed Perspex display oval cases. Inside these walls a bespoke wallpaper was created to show 6.5 metre tall lifestyle images. The walls enveloped a double storey structure created in stainless steel and frosted glass which was used for meetings and hospitality. To finish the look, our workshop manufactured the furniture including the office tables to ensure that this stand was absolutely one of a kind.
