Mobile World Congress
As we edge closer to Mobile World Congress 2019 (MWC19), the hype and excitement begin to build. The mobile world is continuously moving forward and developing new ways to solve questions we don’t even know exist, evolving beyond just mobile. With that in mind, this year’s event theme is ‘Intelligent Connectivity’ – the term mobile world congress uses to describe the powerful combination of artificial intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT). flexible high-speed 5G networks and big data.
With a new theme comes the commencement of a new age, expressed through highly contextualised and personalised experiences, delivered as and when you want them. This is the future of the industry and our world.
New age, new direction. Moving into ‘Intelligent Connectivity’, Mobile World Congress will be known as MWC19 Barcelona, allowing a realisation of the bigger picture outside of just ‘mobile’.
Over the course of the four-day event, visitors will have the opportunity to experience a variety of hands-on demonstrations across a range of diverse product sectors including environment, transportation, entertainment and robotics from exhibiting partners Google, Huawei, KT Corporation, Sierra Wireless and Turkcell, as well as from GSMA industry and advocacy programmes.
MWC19 Barcelona, ‘Intelligent Connectivity’ distributes its innovation this year under eight core themes:

MWC19 is undoubtedly one of the biggest mobile events of the year, with this in mind it’s no coincidence that it is home to some of the biggest mobile announcements. This year is expected to be no different. All major smartphone industry brands will be represented with the exception of Apple. We expect to see folding smartphones, 5G devices, HoloLens and other innovations. Alongside this, major announcements for AI and 5G. Companies to watch out for in these areas include chip manufacturer Qualcomm and software giant Microsoft, as well as network equipment providers and carriers, who will also be at MWC 2019.
By and large this is a brief overview of what the expectations of MWC19 are. However, with such events there are always surprises, twists and turns. With the introduction of this year’s theme, who knows where MWC19 will take us.
Our Mobile World Congress Experiences.
Previously at Mobile World Congress we have built stands for Pervacio, a perfect opportunity to launch new products, network, meet with clients and make sales. Pervacio are a growing brand operating with mobile security software, supplying products in three market sectors; warehousing & logistics, retailer and remote care.
Therefore, to deliver a solution for Pervacio, Envisage executed an exhibition stand design divided into 3 distinct sections for each of the 3 industries, differentiated and defined using different materials as the backdrop for each. Themed through the inspiration of modern phone shops; demonstrations, product displays and data capture were the focus of the stand design.
Mobile World Congress for Pervacio didn’t disappoint, providing the platform to collect quality leads from the exhibition stands data capture alongside the presentation of their products. To see more about our visit to Mobile World Congress with Pervacio; check out our portfolio.
All things considered, we are anticipating MWC19 Barcelona to be better than ever this year, we’re are excited and expect that you are too. In the meantime, head over to the MWC19 website and check out their ebrochure.
